Iva has spent more than a decade immersed in the wisdom of nourishing the body, with a deep focus on supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. With eight years of doula experience and a background in plant-based nourishment, her path into birth work has been shaped by hundreds of hours of herbal and birth education, mentorship with experienced birth workers, and time spent learning alongside midwives and community healers.
Her care is rooted in a holistic approach that honors the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Iva has worked closely within the birth community alongside lactation consultants, pelvic floor therapists, massage therapists, and chiropractors, allowing her to support families with a well-rounded understanding of the many layers of pregnancy, birth, and recovery. She is also trained in infant and child CPR. She brings a steady, grounding presence to the birth space.
Iva offers grief-conscious support for families who have experienced previous loss, holding space for healing while helping parents move into a new birth experience feeling safe, supported, and empowered. She brings what she calls “abuela medicine” to her work—an intuitive, nurturing approach rooted in tradition, nourishment, and deep care for families.
Outside of birth work, Iva enjoys traveling near the ocean, and cooking nourishing meals with her husband of ten years and their three children.
